TRIP TO ZION NATIONAL PARK

As with all National Parks they have their own history and separate beauty. Anne & I will remember our visit to Zion forever.

The Court of the Patriarchs. The three Patriarchs are Issac on the left, Abraham in the middle and Jacob on the right.

EMERALD POOLS TRAIL

There are 3 emerald pools along the trail. The lower pool is a 1.2 mile round trip walk and takes about 1 hour. The middle pool is 2 miles up the trail and the upper pool more than 2 miles up the trail. Needless to say we only went to the lower pool. The combined walking for us encompassing the Emerald Pool Trail and The Riverside Walk was 3.4 miles. On a day when it was over 90 degrees this was plenty. However very enjoyable.

This flow of water goes into the lower Emerald Pool. We where told that by the time the water goes through all the various layers of rock, etc. it tested to be 1200 years old.

IMAGES ALONG EMERALD POOL WALK

Talked to a young couple who climbed the face of this mountain yesterday. It took them nearly 10 hours. There is a trail at the top which the more aggressive hikers can walk back down.

Watch out Anne, the rock is going to fall on your head

Train to Canyon

This is our car ( Cococino). We rode in the dome.

Train was held up just like in the old days.

The original Grand Canyon Engine.

Cowboy Show prior to Canyon Train Ride

Tucker and Gus

I was asked to be part of the show. What fun.
